Michael Krampner
is an experienced trial
lawyer with over 100 jury trials. His cases have included
trials in Natrona, Crook, Converse, Platte, Fremont, Sheridan,
Campbell, Weston, Carbon, Albany and Niobrara Counties in the
Wyoming state courts and in the federal courts in Casper and
Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Mike's criminal trials
have included everything from driving under the influence to
first degree murder. As a young lawyer, he was appointed to
defend poor people in death penalty cases on three occasions.
None of those people were sentenced to death.
In state court he has
represented people accused of theft, fraud, rape, child sexual
abuse, aggravated assault, vehicular homicide, driving under
the influence and a host of other charges. In federal court he
has represented people accused of fraud against the
government, federal wildlife violations, drugs and controlled
substance violations, firearms and other federal crimes. Mike
has obtained orders of courts suppressing and excluding
government evidence in cases where his clients have been
accused of vehicular homicide, being a felon in possession of
firearms, possession of child pornography and other cases.
Mike's civil cases have
included personal injury suits for auto collisions, wrongful
death civil rights violations, breach of contract and other
cases. He has obtained verdicts in excess of policy limits
from a jury, successfully defended forfeiture actions and
obtained settlements in wrongful death, personal injury and
other cases.
Michael Krampner is a
1975 honors graduate of the University of New Mexico and a
1978 graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law. He
has received the highest rating available from
Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer rating service and serves
as a faculty member of the Trial Lawyer's College, a
non-profit teaching institute for improving the quality of
trial advocacy. He has been a member of the Wyoming Judicial
Nomination Commission, the Permanent Rules Committee of the
Wyoming State Bar regarding Rules of Evidence, and has advised
the State Bar regarding the Wyoming Rules of Professional
Responsibilities. Mike Krampner is certified by the National
Board of Trial Advocacy as a criminal trial advocate and is
listed in Best Lawyers in America.
